    If you have an appointment at a Lexington Medical Center doctor's office and are experiencing fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath, please inform office staff of these symptoms when you arrive for your appointment.  During your upcoming appointment, we require you to wear a face covering.  Learn how to make your own cloth face coverings at cdc.gov or scdhec.gov.  If you do not have a mask, one will be provided to you.   We have recently updated our visitation policy.  Click here for more information.

    Booster Doses of Pfirzer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine
    The CDC and SC DHEC have approved booster doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for the following eligibility categories:
    • - People 65 years and older and residents in long-term care settings should receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months after their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series

    • - People aged 50–64 years with underlying medical conditions should receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months after their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series

    • - People aged 18–49 years with underlying medical conditions may receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months after their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series, based on their individual benefits and risks, and

    • - People aged 18–64 years who are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of occupational or institutional setting may receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months after their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series, based on their individual benefits and risks.

    Verification of Eligibility:
    To expedite the registration process, individuals are asked to bring their COVID-19 vaccination card showing their first two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

    Dosage:
    The booster dose is the same dosage as the first two dosages of the Pfizer-BioNTech.

    Timing:
    The booster dose should be administered at least six months following the second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
